Sarah Poem by Shawn Grace

Sarah

November Fourth
Remember the date
I hope this poem can clearly show your worth

Fast forward forty years through peace and argument
After this previous weekend
I hope we can still hold hands on that old rock bench

Your smile does not allow me to be blue
From best friend to lover
I think it is time to start chapter two

If what the Mayans said is right
And we’re all gone a year from now
I’ll need you by my side and always in sight

I know I’m not the best for you, that’s easy to see
Lucky for you I am conceited
And know that you are the best for me

See you’re my main story line, everyone else were just plots
I know this poem doesn’t really flow well
Just a bunch of random thoughts
But I guess what I am trying to say

I want you to be my Beyonce, and I’ll be your Jay-Z
If Sara, will you please go out with me?
