Save You Poem by Josh Burnett

Save You

Every time I try to get to you
You fly so much further away.
Why won't you just want the affection.
Is it because you've been hurt once before?
You know you don't have to hurt anymore.
If you let me into your life.

I want to save you, I want to be your truth.
Love is the cure to run away from the hate.
Beaten down you lay, motionless and afraid.
I want to save you, I want to be your truth.

I can see the hurt behind those blue eyes.
And your heart beat spells out cry.
But don't ever feel like you have to die.
Because one day you will be able to fly.
You'll know it from the way they say hi.
So let them blue tears begin to dry.

I want to save you, I want to be your truth.
Love is the cure to run away from the hate.
Beaten down you lay, motionless and afraid.
I want to save you, I want to be your truth.

Lady be still and don't you move.
Just give me a little time
And I'll be your who.
You won't ever have to feel
The ghosts of your past.
And I promise
The happiness will always last.

I want to save you, I want to be your truth.
Love is the cure to run away from the hate.
Beaten down you lay, motionless and afraid.
I want to save you, I want to be your truth.
