Say I Poem by Josh Burnett

Say I

Say I never cared.
Say I never belonged to you,
And I never will.
Guess you're right I never did.
Say I never loved you.
Say I never made you smile,
And I never will make you feel worthwhile.
These games you play is not what I desire.

Guess you can tell them that I lie.
Guess you can tell them that I made you cry.
Guess you can tell them I can't stand you,
But they know me better than that.
I tell them you're the one who never loved me.

Say I never shared my dance.
Say I never gave you a chance.
Say I never look your hand.
I guess you will never understand.
When you beat down this man.
Say I broke you down.
Say I never helped you off the ground,
And I will never come around.
I guess that I am the clown.

Guess you can tell them that I lie.
Guess you can tell them I made you cry.
Guess you can tell them I can't stand you,
But they know me better than that.
I tell them you're the one who never loved me.

I tell them how much your really mean.
I tell them you were my everything.
I tell them you was my halo.
So when you tell them you just don't know.

You can tell them that I lie.
You can tell them I made you cry.
You can tell them I can't stand you,
But they know you're the one who never loved me.
