Saying Goodbye Poem by Craig Mize

Do you know what day it is?
Today is a special day of sorts.
Today is the day that I die.
Let not you tears fall from sadness
But of the celebration of my life.
Note that I lived a grand life to most
But eternally I was dying slowly.
The hurt that I felt, the sorrow I brought
The misery that followed me.
How can I continue to live like this?
How can I not blame myself?
Your hurt and pain came from me.
The anger that grows within you,
I am the one that planted the seed.
The tears that you are crying,
Are the same tears that I cried.
As I wrote this letter to you
Saying my final goodbyes
