Scars Poem by Randy McClave

Scars

We all have scars
They are always ours,
Some are self inflicted
Many are just addicted.
Some are always shown
Some are not even known,
Many are from wars
Some are from slamming doors.
And always when there is pain
They always remain,
Some are scars in the mind
Those are always the worse kind.
Memories that made you feel like dirt
Where yourself you wanna hurt,
Some people will cut
Others will just shoot up.
Some do it for grief or attention
While others do because of memories or tension,
Some don't seek help or an answer
As if they had cancer.
Most of them are always hidden
To the world they are forbidden,
But, remember no matter who we are
We all have a pain and scar.
