Scars Poem by Payyton Egerstaffer

Scars

Rating: 5.0

Flowing down upon her face
The tears and pain she can’t erase
Why did he come to her room each night?
Was this his plan to cause her fright?
Did he not care for the pain that he dealt
With each touch the more pain she felt.
Night time seemed to be the worst
She couldn’t see why she carried this curse
Who would believe her; they would say that she lied
At least that’s what he told her and of course she complied.
How could he leave her with scars in her heart
Why did he have to tear her apart.
He showed her things she shouldn’t see
Unfortunately, that girl was me.
