Scenery Of Mapo River Poem by Kinsley Lee

Scenery Of Mapo River

Cherry blossoms fall along the park ways,
Swaying in the wind, azaleas bloom in spring days,
Yellow stamens and pistils adorn the pine branches,
The blue threads of the willow leaves flutter like wings on hanches.

Spring has already left Mapo like a chariot no brake, ,
While summer days have arrived at Yongsan Lake,
Though instantly the power of our old castle has turned to foam,
The vigor of Yeouido roars like thunder's gnome.

The wealth's a fleeting dream like aeriform crown,
But he planted nucleus in the north to leave the renown.
The monument of Tojeong humbly stands not bow,
But it echoes with hearty laughter, mocking us now.
