Schemer Poem by Brandon Lucero

Schemer

Rating: 5.0

Down the river, from the sewer
clean as my love
tragic as my life
I found myself, lost myself
terrible pain
unbearable, searching, surging
pushing forward unto the dawn

A permanent midnight cast it's ever moving shadow
draping my vulnerabilities
for we are reborn in the day
refreshed
as if the earth itself were new again

Whoever schemes and judges
shall pay the penance of a thousand stabs
piercing their souls
until the light erases
the hurt and lies

I am a schemer
and I am a killer
chaos is my habitat
