Second Chance Poem by Lei Lance

Second Chance

Rating: 2.8

I woke up crying in the middle of the night
I had a bad dream and I feel my bones chill
Death is after me while I’m running away with fears
Until I fall into darkness that I couldn’t see anything

I saw a white light so I followed the trail
It was an ever ending path leading to the streets of heaven
I hear the angels sing and saw children laughing
I want to stay here and never go back again

A voice calls my name but I can not see his face
I hear cryings and I can feel they are in vain
When I looked down my heart starts breaking
I saw my love and my baby grieving in pain

I ran back to the door but somebody held my hand
I beg him to let me go and give me a second chance
He smiled at me and kiss my forehead
He said “Go my child you don’t belong here yet”
