Second Chance Poem by Angelina Chew

Second Chance

My heart pounded hard against my chest
As you ran your fingers through your hair

Day by day
My heart swelled with my love for you
Till it controlled my every movement

I never knew you would be so important to me
When I first saw you

If I had a second chance
I would rather not meet you
For you are someone I can never have

You and I
Live in different worlds
For you are the solo heir of the king
And I am just the daughter of a lowly servant

If only there was a second chance......
