Second Chance At Goodbye Poem by Wes Thompson

Second Chance At Goodbye

our frail bodies are
but the wind
wavering toward one another
only when chance allows
but our love is
the sky far above the wind
which contains the stars
that we may wring of light
until heaven capsizes
and dawn blinds
the constellations we use
to navigate the measured distance
between our lips
