Second Denial Poem by Sharron Stephenson

Second Denial

a love a tear a moment from the past
a kick a slap a minute to cover
a kiss a smile a second to a friend
to stop a wink a chat to be nice

to listen to cry to a lie
the wash the denial the hurt
affair of the body and soul

sorry again and again how many times
is two enough

the world around is good and evil

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

If one gets hurt to many times, 'sorry again and again how many times' it becomes the new definition of happiness. I really like the poem and the Poet's Notes. A 10.
