Second Wall Poem Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Second Wall Poem

Wall

You presented yourself so clearly.
You didn't want be to be near you so verily.
I tried to hug you and kiss you.
But you presented the wall.

This wall was made of untold dark days.
You didn't give praise
To save yourself
From the darkness which was your life.

Oh please break that wall.
Don't stand there defeated.
You can stand on your own.
You don't need the wall to protect you.
