Secrets Poem by Gwen Newcomb

Secrets

Way back in my
past,
I held secrets close
to my heart.
Sometimes I ventured
Out,
For thoughts of others,
I would cast,
To see what secrets
They were keeping
Hidden in their souls
And dark places.
Afraid to share with
Family or Friends,
For fear of seeing reality
On their faces.
Then they opened that
Glorious door
And chose to let God enter.
Trust, belief and opened eyes,
Brought them back to
The place of joy, gladness, love and
We breathed the biggest sigh!
I love it when that
Happens.
It jazzes me and I rise
To a new high!
I forget my own
Dark secrets,
I step up to a different
Level,
Where God waits for me to shine
In His light,
And those dark places
Disappear in the night.

This is a wonderful poem. Very forgiving and relieving!
