Seed Poem by Abdul Wahab

Seed

After sucking me to the bones
You threw me away where no one puts steps
There in the side way of the lane
I stayed for few months
Without food
Without care and love
But today to your utter surprise
You take shelter under my shade
Now you must be too curious to know who I am
Then silently go and ask the beam of the sun
How did it with soft hand touch the heart of the blanket wind
Or ask the cloud how did it moved
And responded to the thirsty call of the crying clod
I am love and I am born
Tearing out the hard shell of neglected seed
And turn into a huge tree of love
Mothering the pro-genies of life.
