In the forest I do explore.
I see a tree next to a lake.
I have not climbed this tree before.
Trip up the tree trunk I do make.
Out onto a low limb I go,
And go out to its very end.
The water is not far below.
A little bit the limb does bend.
So close to the water I be.
And the calm water shows my eyes
A quite clear reflection of me.
I admit it is a surprise.
Realization does unfurl,
And now I know I am a squirrel.
How cute and well written, I mean, for a squirrel. And by the way, how are the nuts today?

A very well written and amusing poem. Enjoyed! The humor and the wit.
