Seems Like Yesterday Poem by Rhonda Baker

Seems Like Yesterday

SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY
Seems like yesterday we were all just in school, got married had a family and were swimming in your pool
Seems like yesterday you were quiet because you didn't know me well, but many years later oh the stories you would tell.
Seems like yesterday we worked on a derby car late into the night, the paint job was great, even if it didn't run quite right
Seems like yesterday we were at Bob's cabin by the lake, watching our kids grow, giving life a break
Seems like yesterday we were eating chinese before a show, life goes so fast, just where does it go?
Seems like yesterday we were at the "Bucket", you with a Stroh's in your hand. Listening to AC/DC getting played by a local band.
Seems like yesterday we were in Frederick putting snowmobile suits on and riding the trails all day long
Seems like yesterday you were covered in bondo dust, to get the car done by the weekend was really a must.
Seems like yesterday we were setting up the ring and chairs. The biggest obstacle at Walter French was climbing all those stairs.
Seems like yesterday we had all the time in the world, but life is short. Enjoy the simple things. You don't need lots of money or to go very far. Just friends and family and maybe a fast car.
