Self Esteem Poem by Nereva Notswa

Self Esteem

Self esteem

My nose is too big,
My accent too thick.
I cannot spell
and can't write well.
Oh hell,
there is so much to tell
that I'm no good.

This is what I used to feel,
hidden under sex appeal.
Now at last it's known by heart,
that one's just a little part.
In the great drama of creation,
In direct terms
the body ‘s for worms,
while one’s imagination,
if it is good,
for gods is food.

Am I nothing?
Am I all?
Am I any thing at all?
