Send Me Away Poem by Taylor Ryan

Send Me Away

Send me away
to escape this reality
I will run
this pain is unbelievable
for those outside
for those like me
it is real enough
to slice the flesh
with a blade too sharp
see with cunning eyes
physical red that oozes
blue frames the picture
motions of all kinds
stop when slumped
brush the color
create something in life
for it is missing here
body with body
no responses come forth
feel nothing
but always reaching
give in and forget
never forgive thyself
for it is too late
harsh wind blows
leaves rattle off of trees
lakes swallow whole
what fire can't burn
crucial is missing
be a doll
to move only once
white surrounds.
