Separate Ways Poem by Lavigne Kin

Separate Ways

I don't know when
Where it went wrong
And what I could have done
To keep it from happening
I don't know who - you are - anymore
and what you've become
but i can't help but feel responsible
for all that i've done
I don't know why
It has to be this wayAnd I don't know why
Why can't you change?
All we can do now
is enjoy what we had
And leave the rest in the past
Cause' maybe this just wasn't meant to last
I don't think there was ever
Enough fuel for the fire
And it makes me wonder
Were we ever even in love?
We're on a greyhound bus
Leaving Side by Side
Like Strangers into the night
We don't know where, we're going to
But somehow it feels like
A tunnel is pulling through
We can make our excuses
Refuse and abuse it
But I think we know why
It has to be this way
I think we know why
We had to go
Our separate ways
