Poet's Notes about The Poem

My inspiration is every trial and tribulation us as human beings face. Note: 'Darkness' in this poem is figurative for these trials and burdens, whereas 'Life' represents both the good and bad sides of being alive, with this word should carry a more positive than negative feel.
I dedicate this poem to my best bro, Justus.
