Set For Wet - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Set For Wet - Lincoln Park Zoo

Gasby and Phraay stop play to do
Some grooming each other so that,
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
They're primed for water habitat.
The Asian small claw otters' fur
Needs regular grooming to let
Little air pockets form for sure
To keep coats water proofed in wet.
And when each grooming chore is done,
Back to playtime the otters be
Enjoying underwater fun,
Well insulated otterly.

Gasby and Phraay do share groom chores,
'You groom my back and I'll groom yours.'
