Setback Poem by Paul Hartal

Setback

“I’ve failed miserably”, he said,
His voice trembling and bitter.

She gave him
A warm-hearted hug.

“I am such a loser”, he said.

“No, you’re not', she said.
'Life, like the wheel,
Rubber or steel,
Must also roll backward
To move forward.”
