Look!
Look they have come seven figures in frac
White frac
And tall and lank and vague they stand.
They came
And Time walks with them
And Time bereavement heals
And there wonder in the rising sad.
And hoarse the cries of the sea-gulls
Near
And distant sounds of barking far
Ever-far
And in the Shadows multiplying they recede
To-night
And centuries.
