Shakespeare? What A Bore! Poem by Cathy Zhang

I have to read a play
That the famous Shakespeare wrote
I try to create the longest delay
But the horror keeps coming close

This one is called 'Much Ado'
I hope it's not like the rest
I want to like it, I really do!
But I fear it will be another pest

Romeo is so sappy and sad
Hamlet's all about knights and fight
Macbeth's witches are all mad
And the Tempest? Ha, what a sight!

Wait! I just finished it!
It's actually quite alright
Beatrice has a quick wit
And Hero has a lot of might

I really could enjoy this
Just taking my time to read
These stories could be a bliss
Shakespeare is surprisingly neat!
