Shattered Dreams Behind White Picket Fences

Dreaming of things to be
Fancies of the future
Spendidly brilliant
A dreamer's paradise
Fences painted so beautifully white
Doves would turn green
As green as the immaculate lawn
An ocean of grass
Children playing,
'Ready or not, HERE I COME! '
Playful screams as little people run amidst the greenery
8. Painfully beautiful. Little curls spill into a lovely frame
3. Terrible toddler with an innocent grin.
Others flittering around as feisty, perfect pixies
A single canine keeps watch; off to the side
Following their rambunctiousness with a keen interest
Majestic, as a lion king statue fixed in the front of a comfortable home
White pillars greet guests like the parthenon
Inside.
Inspiring artwork
Intriguing room decor
Amazing architecture
A home fit for a king
The queen takes care of all that need her
Children entertained
Guests welcomed
Food cooked
Everything as it should be
Clock strikes 6 pm
The queen looks to the door expectantly
But she knows there is no one that comes home to her
No one with whom to share her dreams, her passions, her fears
She is the product of complete independence
Her life-a by-product
And while she has money and other amenities to to comfort her life
Who is there to comfort and complement her soul?
