She Doesn't Owe Poem by Randy McClave

She Doesn't Owe

Rating: 4.0

A woman doesn't a owe a man one damn thing
Even if he gives her a diamond ring,
If you had met her when she was poor
Why would you think or believe that she would owe you more.
Even if she smoked your smokes or drank all of your beer
Let me again make this statement quite perfectly clear
When you were a couple you were one and not two
So, why do you really believe that she would owe you.
When two are together as a couple in a relationship
Two are then spiritually and soulfully joined at the hip
You love, you hope, you build and you care
And with each other you always happily and thoughtfully share.
And sadly if a relationship is over and it is through
There is no such thing as emotional or a product I.O.U
And another thing in a certainty that I do and certainly know
When a relationship is over, neither partner does owe.
