She Wants To Be In The Army Poem by Nick Fay

She Wants To Be In The Army

Wants to be in the army, tough-nut proclaimed,
Threats to harm me, a gun my way aimed,
Girl calm it, psychopathic on a target, formulate a plan,
I can imagine you blowing away muslim clerics in Afghanistan,
Helmand sergeant yells,
Tells you to put the gun down, fall back, retire,
Insurgents urgently run as your shells sound til you’ve no rounds left to fire,
They fall to the ground, stop in their tracks full of holes like flat tyres,
Caught flak, blood spattered on their attire,
A spirit i admire but you need to learn to chill,
When you pick up that gun itchy finger on the trigger set to kill and spill the red,
9 mill of lead to the head,
Nil to you like you’re bulletproof instead, without a vest,
A killer born and bread, devout, won’t rest til they’re dead,
Bloodshed mislead by call of duty,
War cries in your exercise to pursue and execute me,
I don’t wanna die, i apologise, please don’t shoot me
