She Weeps Poem by Carl Roussell

She Weeps

Rating: 5.0

The floods are flooding homes,
And fires burn some more.
Mother has had enough.

The doom sayers have said
Deniers have closed their eyes,
And maybe their hearts.

Mother Nature's gone to sleep,
And in her dreams she weeps.

She's said goodbye to us,
The human race, last place.
The planet's had enough.

Mother Nature's gone to sleep,
And in my dreams she weeps.

What a sad poem. Even sadder how much truth is contained in its words.

Greed will always win, so it seems, over all. Thanks for the comment.
