She Who Loves Poem by Austin Jones

She Who Loves

Rating: 5.0

And I saw
Before me
One
Who truly loves
Who is right for me
The love
Who does not
Hurt
And I saw
She was
Really
Truly
Beautiful
She
Held me close
Her arms enfolding
Tenderly
And she
Showed me
Love
And I saw
Her face
With eyes so clear
Was looking
Not with sympathy
Not with pity
Not with a thing
I had crafted
But with
Empathy
Compassion
Understanding
But most of all
Love
This
Girl
She who does no harm
And I saw
Her skin
Like cool water
Under the boiling sun
Held me close
Smooth
Soft
Home
And I felt
That for the
First time
Ever
My trust
Hopes
Dreams
Were safe
My heart in her hands
Hands that actually cared
Was beating
We saw the same world
Her and I
And I saw
Her hair
Glowing softly in the sun
Touched my cheek
Uncaring
No guards put up
And I saw
Her smile
Full of laughter
Beauty
Radiance
And she saw
Me
This girl in my dreams
