She Wrote Me A Letter Poem by Randy McClave

She Wrote Me A Letter

Rating: 4.0

She sent me a letter
Saying that she could do better,
So, she packed up her clothes and left...
She took the clothes that I had bought her
So, she could impress her daughter,
In my heart there was a theft...
She wrote me that we could still be friends
As someday we might make our amends,
Then she left me proudly for another man...
She left me for a man whom she had called Satan
A man whom she had been hatin',
Now for him she'll do all that she can....
She took my personal belongings and assets
Including my shirts and my sweats,
Then from her life I was permanently blocked....
Many times she told me that she loved me
Especially every night that she slept with me,
Now, my heart is now permanently locked....
From me she had took and stole
I wonder if that was her true goal,
As I read more from the letter that she had wrote....
Now I hear from her no more
After she had walked out my front door,
As I still read more from her note....
She wrote thatshe will reimburse me one day
When she finds a good job that does pay,
But, until then I must keep the worry and stress.....
Then she wrote, "Until Then"
She most likely will be with different men,
She scribbled that down after the P.S....

Beautifully penned the emotions a man feel when his love leaves and goes leaving him all alone. Painful poetry.

A sad experience. Break ups break not only hearts, but body too. Hope you can soon put the memory behind and move on. Cheer up, dear poet!
