Shifting Stars Poem by nimal dunuhinga

Shifting Stars

Rating: 5.0

When the dark clouds gather in the eastern sky
Severe drought pass away
Leaving the famine to cry.
Diarrhea forms in the poor infants' empty bowels
Malaria spreads & vanish crops
And the politician heads with leaflets.
It's really a gimmick for the candidate to grab the seat after the election.
Broken promises are shinning in the night sky
And please do not misguided as those are not stars.

* His gate always locked and the prominent gold plated letters even a blind can see from afar;
'Beware of dogs'

To my poet friend Joe.Poewhit

A powerful commentary on politicians and their spin. Nature in all her fury is so much more powerful than man's feeble attempts to control and manipulate. The richness of your creative mind continues to amaze. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Very sad. Shifting stars and politicians have something in common it would seem. Take care. Warm regards, Sandra
