Short Coffin

Did the French Revolutionary newspaper,
Le Thermomètre du Jour,
The Thermometer of the Day,
measure the heat in heads
and graph it in red on One,
to let you see at a glance the trend
and decide to flee or attend
The National Razor
(now a band in the USA) ,
La Guillotine,
the quick trick
that lightens you by the ‘brick’
that’s placed between your feet
in your grave,
to shorten your coffin
and save?

You have come up with an original thought about the guillotine and the aftermath. I think the guillotine would be a terrible way to be executed. But aren't all forms of execution horrible beyond words?

Thank You for keeping us up with the news, yet think many here would prefer to pay a little extra.
