Shuckeled Nuts Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Shuckeled Nuts

As a product,
Of my own thought process.
I confess...
There was no premeditated intention,
Did I have to be tactless and rude.
That to do I did,
With no premeditating at all.
However...
After much contemplation.
And self indulging consideration.
I decided...
Who would give,
A barrel of shuckeled nuts...
If I said what was on my mind.
After all,
Haven't I lived to earned the right,
To be obnoxious and unbearably disgusting?
With a cussing to do,
When and wherever for no reason at all?
I'm old.
And loving being capable to say,
Whatever I have on my mind.
That's the one thing,
Old folks keep enjoyed.
And mostly kept to themselves.
