Shut! ! ...[ Lament Of An Email-Starved Fool ] Poem by Bri Edwards

I'm not forlorn; I'm just surprised,
and, at lack if emails, I've surmised
that others have now been hacked,
OR, their laptops, in disgust, packed.

Have they had enough of my 'notes',
& would hear, instead, from other goats?
I mean other 'old goats' like I AM, but
NOT me. So their link to me they do slam

...SHUT! And even my spam et cetera
have mostly ceased coming, tra la la la, SO
I guess I'll spend more time in my big chair,
'cause it seems, 'bout me, few or none do care.

Instead of email, I'll read novels (Large-Type) ,
and perhaps my heart & soul will quietly gripe.
I've no TV to help me fill the days' long hours,
so I'll sit, waiting for my time to 'push up flowers'.
