Shy Nature Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

My friend is of shy nature
May not like a word to utter
If that is not needed
May shake head if advice is heeded

He is brilliant in study and quite intelligent
He lives in real world and believes in present
“Why one should not be fully alive to the situation”?
He may surpass me sometimes with such question

As little shyness makes him handicap
He is blessed with ideas to tap
With resources and come out with scheme
That proves so beneficial for all of them

I made bone of no contention
As we had strong relation
He was as near as possible
I would always want him out of trouble

He was daily going down from his nature
I wanted to make it sure
He did not name any botheration
But I feared his strained relation

He was finding very hard to pull on
She was outraged at him and gone
He was left alone to face loneliness
That was clearly visible on his face

I tried to persuade him in smooth manner
I considered her wife as my sister
She will never compromise with her stand
She will not hesitate to go even to dead end

I managed the situation and cooled her off
My friend heaved a sigh and had last laugh
He was trying to come out off set field
The same position he did want now to yield
