Sick Old Man Poem by Dorsey Baker

Sick Old Man

Sick old man
Here you sit
In your tired old rocking chair
Forgotten forsaken
Your family your friends
Just like old rainbow colors
Have faded away
Leaving you to mourn
Yourself alone
Nothing much
You have left
You are sailing on
The lonely ship of the past
And it too has begun to sink
Into the deep valley of nothingness
You seem now
To be drowning in the deep
Murky waters of your frozen memories
