Sides Of Me Poem by Sarah Wilson

Sides Of Me

Rating: 4.5

Tell me what you see,
When you look at me.
A woman of truth?
Sipping from the fountain of youth?
A woman who lies?
Holding back the tears of her cries?
An average beauty?
With a smile that shines so brightly?
An ugly mess?
Would anyone fight to possess?
Someone to admire?
My success something to desire?
Full of insecurities?
Consumed by duties?
Down to earth?
Confident with a sense of self-worth?
Alone and lonely?
Afraid to be judged socially?
Has natural talent?
Creative and intelligent?
Has to keep busy?
Depression weighing down on thee?
Generous and kind?
Always keeps others in mind?
Let's people take advantage?
Must uphold a usage?
Sarcastically funny?
Known to be a little bit silly?
Uses humour as a defence?
Not allowing to see past the pretence?
Keeps secrets like a vault?
Loyal and trustworthy to a fault?
Needs to be accepted?
Essential from those who have lasted?
Always respectful?
Do you see your equal?

These are all,
Sides of me.
