Siku On Ice - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Siku On Ice - Lincoln Park Zoo

I am Siku and hear me roar
My debut at Lincoln Park Zoo.
A polar bear ambassador
To help do what we need to do.
Mid November, twenty sixteen,
Seventy degrees - Chicago.
Such warming on the arctic scene
Is bad for my kind - doncha know!
So I am here to remind all
We need much less of more hot air,
Less fossil fuel burn - heed the call,
Or arctic ice will not be there.

The arctic ice - polar bears need.
Together we can help - indeed!
