Silence Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Silence

Silence

Silence is not always good
If it is properly understood
Whenever it is to be broken
It must done in open

Silence is not to keep shut
And use later on with ifs and buts
It has relevance
If it warrants interference

Silence is must
Where arises question of trust
If one has to prove innocence
It is better to observe silence

Nothing should be proved
Or disproved
In open debate
It shall, otherwise, seal your fate

Silence is taken as cowardice too
Where silence may surprise
Even to your close associates
And invite some retaliatory words

Silence
