Silent Encounter - Poem by Heather Schroer

Thoughts of you
cross my mind
warm feelings
embrace my body

You ignore me
so it seems
but then you stare
and smile at me

You focus on my glance
only to say hi
but then walk off
without goodbye

My warm feelings
turn cold
from your silent
encounter
