Silent Killer Poem by Rusty Ed Gibson

Silent Killer

You can't see it but it hurts me real bad.
I'm not bleeding but it feels that I am.
I can still stand but I'm on my knees.
Something so large sitting on me.
I'm not bound but I'm not free.
My hearts bleeding out but no one can see.
I beg for mercy and I pray for light.
Sometimes I don't know if I'll make it through the night.
I reach out but nobody cares.
Lots of silence a few blank stares.
