Silent So Very Long Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Silent So Very Long

You haven ‘t talked to me for a while
My heart is just waiting lonely for you,
Love has its tenderness and different style
To come and gather and be inside true;

But you have been silent so very long
Like the faraway days that are all gone,
I hear only silence in a breezy song
That goes by my window so on and on

There are words in my thoughts not yet spoken
Only whispers of times so far here away
My thoughts are not said only left on broken
And waiting for new arrivals each day

But you haven ‘t talked or given a call
The days just go on in their rise and fall
