I was feelin' kind of silly
From me head down to me toes
As I couldn't tell the difference
'Tween me elbow and me nose
I had put me socks upon me ears
And me hat upon me bottom
And me shirt was tied around me waist
As for pants...I haven't got em!
I'd put gloves upon me tootsies
One was blue and one was red
But I hadn't found me undies,
Since I'd gotten out of bed
You may ask where I am going,
And if this poem is just a lark
But the moral of this story...
Don't get dressed when it is dark! !
Dear Daffy Dee Daffodil: This daffy poem was such fun to read that I immediately sent it to meself, and all me grandchildren to read! It has a very Dr. Seuss feel to it, and it was great! Write more like this one! ! Scarlett
Quite an amusing piece, DEE...Wit and Cleverity abound, as well as solid structure, and smooth flowing rhythm.....Fine job''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''FJR
So hilarious, So brilliant. So very well constructed indeed. I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Well, well done. I'm still laughing. Cheers. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
Dee, the title hooked me. I love the word silly and your poem measures up delightfully to the promise of the title. I agree with Scarlett, very 'Cat in the Hat', and well written to boot. love, Allie xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
So....Does that mean I have to stay naked? Or wear bed clothes? Think I need a lie down.......... Ez
Superb writing, bringing a well-needed smile to every person who reads this. Thank you, Dee! 10! -chuck
