Simplicity Poem by John Davie

Simplicity

Rating: 5.0

He turned out to be not as you thought
Of your soul you assumed he cared nought
Always argued the toss
Shouty unfriendly Boss
Whom it seemed could never be taught

In the throes of relationship doom
His primary instinct to Spoon
Was awakened galeforce
Coupled with deep remorse
Proved to push his love off to the moon

So as this tale took on some speed
The inertia of, not what you need
There was no way of halting
The love that was bolting
The compulsion that grew from bad seed

A way always is and can be
Forged forward together and free
Of the darkness compounded
Our minds unconfounded
Pure love total simplicity
