Treasure Island

Kasia Fedyk

Simply inside

I don't know what dreams are made of
can you tell me?
are dreams just something you imagine
or maybe create in your own mind
can you look at them straight in the eye
and actually see them as they appear
right in front of you.

Maybe they are all that you are living
maybe you just can not see them
maybe the blind spot you have carried
with you for so long
is the block that keeps them away
from your site.

Maybe on a bright sunny day
or in the darkest of night
in the light of the moon
you will regain that sight again.

Maybe it is only a smile you give
or a smile you receive
maybe its a warm embrace
that gives life to a lifeless body
maybe its silence or maybe a word spoken
in the purest of languages
-heart and soul

Maybe we walk this holy ground
endlessly searching for something
that can not be found outside
maybe the dreams we so desperately
desire to come
lay so close to us
within our reach
simply inside.

EVEN such is Time, that takes in trust
Our youth, our joys, our all we have,
And pays us but with earth and dust;
