Sisyphean Fiasco Poem by John Zeller

Sisyphean Fiasco

laughing bears hunting pachyderm with
water balloons on the island of sweet sorrows
as I sit picnicking under a palm tree with a parrot
and a panda watching a Sisyphean fiasco
the purple sky of the setting sun inviting
fireflies to join in the fun, the panda now juggling
coconuts as the parrot tells 'the greatest story ever told'
and I sit here blown away as this Sisyphean fiasco unfolds
painting stars and quasars in the liquid aquarium above
Venus rising brightly over a drowning purple sunset like a dove
the parrot now exhausted stuttering his words on the fly
and I listen passionately to the greatest fiasco under the sky
just then two elephants and a hippo stampede nervously by
laughing bears behind them, water bombs falling from the sky
the parrot reached his climax as the panda let out a great big sigh
and I'm just sitting here blown away by this fiasco under the sky
