Sleep/One Third Poem by Claude Davis III

Sleep/One Third

One third of our lives are spent sleeping
I can't spend that one third without her
With her in my arms
I can drift asleep right away

I can still feel her breath
Warming up my chest
While I'm off dreaming
Best sleep I ever had

The couch, the floor, the bed
Anywhere as long as she's with me
I can fall asleep with no problem
It'll be one third of my life well spent
