Slow Death Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Slow Death

Slow death

Humanity has shamed
Still we claim
Noble and honest breed on earth
Causing all over deaths

Not destiny decided
Not almighty added
But we imposed
As killer we posed

We wanted to proved god
As one and completely sold
Just monopoly of one religion
And total sway in region

So we killed innocent
And sent them
To flee from homeland
To distant hostile land

They have new status
With no locus standing
Only surrounded by barbed wires
Watching slow death of cherished desires
