Slowly Poem by Juan Olivarez

Slowly I leave, this existence behind,
Slowly I just fade away.
Slowly fragments fall away from my mind,
Slowly, slowly, day, by day.

Slowly, so slowly, the transition begins,
Slowly life turns into, what?
Slowly a new beginning as this life ends,
Slowly the light grows from a dot.

Slowly, so slowly, my mind comprehends,
Slowly, as it accepts it's fate.
Slowly, so slowly, as my soul makes amends,
Slowly and joyfully, there's no debate.
